What counts as an HVAC emergency?
Loss of heat during dangerous cold, loss of cooling during dangerous heat, burning odors, smoke, sparking, suspected gas or carbon-monoxide concerns, or water threatening the property deserve immediate attention. Leave the area and contact emergency services or the utility when life safety may be involved; otherwise call Air King’s 24/7 emergency line.
Should I turn the system off before calling?
Turn it off if you see smoke, sparking, active leaking near electrical components, or hear severe mechanical noise. Do not open equipment panels or attempt electrical, gas or refrigerant repairs. For a mild comfort problem, note the thermostat setting and symptoms before calling.
Why is my system running but not keeping up?
Restricted airflow, thermostat or control issues, duct problems, equipment faults and extreme conditions can produce similar symptoms. Check that the thermostat is set correctly and that a safe, accessible filter is not badly blocked, then request diagnosis if the problem continues.
Does an older system automatically need replacement?
No. Age is one factor, not a diagnosis. Air King can evaluate the failure, system condition, repair scope, comfort history and installation before discussing whether repair or replacement is the practical next step.
